    Ok so I left a review 2 years ago about how good this place is.  Just wanted to give an update on my thoughts.  I will have them cater my wedding, I will eat the sliced pork special w french fries & coleslaw on my mf deathbed, and then have them cater my funeral. I'm not even a huge bbq lover but I will eat Smokey's til the day I die.  Shout out to Ali, Shelby & Lindsey, great servers.  However, the worst service ever would still not stop me from eating here.  Really and truly my favorite restaurant.

    I came in for an early dinner. The atmosphere was relaxed and cozy, classic country playing really low in the background like an echo from decades past. This is an old school BBQ joint. Nothing pretentious just great food for a good price. Efficient and friendly waitstaff. Clean tables, even the sauce bottles were clean (shock!).
    All the food was great, especially the cole slaw I ordered halfway through my meal. Great ribs, fresh green beans. Happy and confused why this place is not better rated.

    The ribs were dry and had little to no flavor. I tried the turkey which was decent. First impressions did not live up to expectations. Last time visiting this restaurant. Food was overall mediocre at best.

    So I tried the open face beef with the mushroom gravy for the first time based on another Yelp review. It was super good. That will be my go-to order. Service was average, place is still super dated but I don't come there looking for fancy. Will be back!
